•   Important Reminder: Because of school closures the following previous weather days are now regular school days: November 1; February 14, and May 30
• The Fall String Chamber Recital is Tuesday, November 5 7:00 PM at Lakewood Presbyterian Church. 2001 University Blvd. W.  Student call time 4:30 PM Students will be served a light meal and will rehearse in the sanctuary. Volunteers are needed to help with serving the food and with clean up. VOLUNTEER
• DA Musical: Don’t forget to purchase tickets to this year’s musical production of “Hadestown”. The show runs from Thursday, November 14 – Sunday, November 17.   Ticket Link  - Becomes available October 30! 
• Extravaganza Tickets: Pre sale tickets for Extravaganza are now available. Pre order your tickets before December 6 and avoid Ticketmaster fees. After December 6 tickets can only be ordered via Ticketmaster. There is no box office the night of the performance.

• Extravaganza Program Advertisements: Purchase an advertisement in the Extravaganza program and 100% of the sales amount will be deposited into your student’s account. Use this link to order your advertisement and be sure to check the box indicating “orchestra”.
• Solo & Ensemble: All students will participate in Solo and Ensemble Saturday, November 23. Several schools from our area will participate and we need volunteers to help with check in, meals for our adjudicators, & pianists, directors, and crowd control. VOLUNTEER
• DA Winter Concert: The DA Winter Concert Thursday, December 12 7:00 PM will feature all of our students and will include a performance of the DA Symphony Orchestra. A Dessert Reception will follow the performance.  Families are asked to donate dessert items such as cookies, brownies, and cupcakes. Poinsettias will be used to decorate the stage and can be pre-purchased and taken home for your holiday enjoyment. Purchasing information will be available at a later date.    We need lots of volunteers, and as always volunteers attend the concert at no charge! VOLUNTEER
• DA Winter Concert – Program Advertisements: Program ads for the Winter Concert are available. Sell an ad to friends, relatives, and businesses. Send a “shout out” or highlight your student’s accomplishments. This is a great way to show support for your student and our program - and raise funds toward your student’s fees. ORDER FORM

• A HUGE THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO PARTICIPATED IN THE DOUBLE GOOD POPCORN FUNDRAISING EVENT! As of last night (Thursday evening) your efforts had raised over $11,868 in gross sales. AND our Givebutter Capital Campaign continues to receive funds from contacts who preferred to make direct donations. WAY TO GO DA STUDENTS AND FAMILIES!
